64 miles from North Palm Beach, FL to Dania Beach, FL. Once
we got out of the horrendous construction through Riviera Beach, the ride was
absolutely spectacular. We bicycled
through some amazing neighborhoods of mansion after mansion. Many of them had their own yachts, some
nearly as big as a small cruise ship, parked in front. Who knew there were so many incredible
properties on the coast of Florida? I am
including a couple of photos, but honestly they don’t begin to do the
properties justice. We stopped for our
first lunch (which is usually PB&J) at Boynton Beach where they still have
lifeguards on duty. Our second lunch was
at Ruby by the Sea in Pompano Beach, FL and under new ownership by Gino the
Chef. Chef Gino was there and proudly
served us our lunch accompanied by great conversation. Getting around the Fort Lauderdale airport
was a bit of a puzzle. Fortunately we
met two trail angels who directed us.
The first said he had been at the same spot for the last 23 years. I guess a lot of people get lost at that spot.
The second helped us find the road we needed to cross over 95. We finally made it to the hotel and had a
nice hot shower.

ReplyDeleteJust ziti, but pasta always hits the spot when bicycling. As to the trailer, I was heartbroken when I found out it was totaled. Once I adjust, perhaps some photos will be in order.
